Privacy Policy

Business Talent Partners ("we", "us") is a recruitment business based in South Africa. This policy explains how we collect and use personal information from employers who enquire about our services and professionals who join our talent network. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Information we collect

• Employers: your name, work email, company, country and the details of the role you share with us.
• Candidates: your name, contact details, location, professional field, CV, qualifications and any further details you choose to add to your profile.
• Technical information such as pages visited, collected through essential cookies and, if enabled, analytics.

How we use it

• To respond to employer enquiries and run recruitment searches.
• To assess candidates for roles that match their experience and to contact them about those roles.
• To share a candidate's profile with a prospective employer, only after discussing the role with the candidate.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share candidate information with prospective employers only in connection with a specific role. We use trusted service providers for hosting, file storage and email, who process information on our behalf and under contract.

International transfers

Because our clients are based outside South Africa, candidate information may be shared with employers outside South Africa. We only do so where it is necessary for a recruitment process the candidate has agreed to take part in.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate profiles while they remain useful for recruitment, and review inactive profiles regularly. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to its processing. Candidates can update their own profile at any time by signing in. For any other request, contact us at privacy@businesstalentpartners.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
